MultiChip Programmer for  beginners and hobbiests

Page history last edited by NayLA 15 years, 3 months ago

Hi everyone,

This is a prototype programmer for  several chips including Microchip PIC/microcontrollers.

Since four years ago ,I 've already constructed and tested this programmer and  it worked fine on desktop PC.

Last time , I used it for programming  PICs for my projects. It is port-powered programmer and you do not need to use external power supply.

It use power from RS232 ( DB9 ) port of your desktop PC.Do not use Laptop for programming because RS232 signal level is different from

normal desktop PC and it cannot  generate  13 V programming voltage. You can easily construct this hardware programmer at fairly low cost and

you can try to program  the supported chips such as PIC16F84A, PIC16F877A , PIC16F628A ,etc .

This is a good programmer for beginners and hobbiests who cannot spend  too much money at the beginning stage .

The below  are some necessary files for the programmer .Save  icprog105c-a.exe and  icprog.sys  in the same directory ( Folder ).

Please read the documents attached  for configuration of the software .Good luck !
